Gu Won is a charming, cunning, and dapper chaebol heir who is a member of the King Group and the owner of an opulent hotel. He despises people who put on a phony smile and act serious.

A member of the King Group and the proprietor of an expensive hotel, Gu Won is a charming, shrewd, and suave chaebol heir. He hates those who act serious and put on a fake smile.
The hotelier Cheon Sa-rang, whose name means "love" in Korean, enters the scene. When she learns Gu Won will be collaborating closely with her, she beams and tries to look her best. Naturally, this causes them to disagree since Gu Won doesn't understand why Sa-rang keeps annoying him and Sa-rang isn't sure how to please her employer.
The setting is then entered by the hotelier Cheon Sa-rang, whose name translates to "love" in Korean. She brightens and puts on her best face when she discovers Gu Won will be working closely with her. They naturally quarrel over this because Sa-rang doesn't know how to impress her employer and Gu Won doesn't understand why she keeps bothering him.
King The Land has been a hot topic since JTBC revealed its cast since it has 2nd-gen K-pop stars YoonA of Girls' Generation and Lee Junho of 2PM, who have been dominating the acting scene with their K-dramas.
